Keyword Ranking Reports by Advanced Web Ranking

advanced web ranking

Advanced Web Ranking (AWR) is a comprehensive SEO tracking and reporting tool that has been getting more and more attention in the online marketing community in recent years. It’s a very robust and feature-rich SEO software that I particularly like because of its usability and reporting capabilities.
The product provides 6 reports for tracking your SEO efforts (Website Rankings, Keyword Rankings, Search Engine Rankings, Top Sites, Overview and Visibility) of which the Keyword Ranking Report I find to be indispensable.
There are three features I especially like about the Keyword Ranking Report…
Keyword Rankings
1. Evolution in Time – this is a visual snapshot of keyword rankings of your site (and competitors) over a specified range of time. The  chart display allows you to filter for selected keywords or all keywords and, similar to Google Analytics, you can include notes (annotations) for specific dates.
I find this to be [...]

How to Effectively Launch a Website

New website launches offer a big marketing opportunity to generate visibility and create long-term SEO value. So while you’re developing the site and getting ready for the release, use the time to develop a launch strategy that will enable you to make the most out of your launch.

3 Rockin Tools to Pick a Domain Name

Choosing the right domain name for your business/project has many implications not just for branding but also for seo. Of course coming up with the name is only half the battle. Currently, there are over 127 Million domain names (92 Million are .com) and growing, which makes finding a domain that is actually available often times a royal pain in the a-s-s.
Here are three of my favorite tools that will help make your domain name search easier:
1. Instant Domain Search – an incredibly simple, real-time search tool that shows availability instantanteously for .com, .net and .org domains.

Quarkbase – Spy on Websites

There are lots of SEO tools out there but this one I actually like. It´s called Quarkbase and provides a quick and dirty snapshot of a website´s key information from various online data sources. Easy to use, nice interface, and great way to spy on other sites.

I came across it via Ann Smart´s post on Search Engine Journal.

Google's Matt Cutts Provides SEO Insight for USA Today

USA Today recently interviewed Matt Cutts (SEO guru from Google) on how to improve website search rankings on Google. Cutts boiled down his advice to 5 key factors, giving these recommendations:

Spotlight your search term on the page: He says: “Think about what people are going to type in to try and find you.” In other words, focus on your target keywords and make sure you’ve included them on the page.
Fill in your “tags”: Matt recommends to focus on two important meta tags: title and description, and mentions that Google doesn’t place much weight on the keyword tag.
Get other sites to “link” back to you: Google’s rankings place a lot of importance on the number of other websites that are linking to your site, so try and increase your link popularity.
Create a blog and post often: Cutts believes a blog is not only a great way to start a conversation [...]

Website Redesign: 5 Critical Factors To Improve Your Rankings

Redesigning a website provides a golden opportunity to improve search engine rankings, create a buzz, and bring new eyeballs to your site. Although, there are a lot of important SEO strategies that come into play for getting traction in the major search engines (I won’t get into it here), there are a few factors that are particularly crucial when you’re redesigning your site.
In the last several years, there have been a lot of changes in the SEO landscape and the playing field is becoming more and more level. Therefore, what might work today could prove ineffective tomorrow so don’t try to ‘game’ the system. Instead, spend your time and energy (and money) to focus on your target audience and provide them with: 1) a great user experience and 2) compelling value. If you’ve hired an online marketing company or search engine strategist that deviates from these two [...]
